The Weekly
Get a new acting scene and my complete coaching breakdown every Monday — so you can practice consistently, make stronger choices, and be ready when your next opportunity arrives. Your first week is on me.
You know you should be practicing. But practicing what?
When you're taking a class or preparing for an audition, the work is already in front of you.
Between those moments, it's easy to stop.
Not because you're lazy or don't care about acting. You simply don't have a scene to work on — or anyone guiding you through what to do with it.
Finding worthwhile material takes time. Breaking it down by yourself can feel overwhelming. And hiring a private acting coach every week can cost hundreds of dollars a month.
The Weekly gives you the material, direction, and structure to keep working on your craft — on your own schedule.
From guessing to practicing.
A new scene. A complete coaching breakdown.
Every Monday.
Each week, I'll send you a scene from TV or film, selected to help you strengthen a specific part of your acting. Along with the scene, you'll receive the kind of detailed breakdown I normally explore with my private coaching clients, including:
Think of it as an acting coach in your inbox.
At this price, I can't watch your tape or give you individualized feedback. What I can do is give you the material and detailed professional guidance you need to practice with purpose. Instead of telling yourself you should be working on your acting, you'll always have something concrete to work on.
And you don't have to take my word for it. Try your first week free and see what lands in your inbox.
Four steps. No homework.
What kinds of scenes will I receive?
The Weekly features a rotating mix of contemporary scenes from television and film — dramatic and comedic, across different genres and character types. Occasionally a scene comes from a contemporary play, always chosen for how it works on camera.
As The Weekly develops, selected editions may also explore audition sides, commercial copy, monologues, and other performance material.
The goal is not simply to give you more scripts. The goal is to help you become a more specific, connected, prepared actor every time you work.
The actor who practices consistently has an advantage.
You can't control when the next audition arrives. You can control whether you've been exercising your instincts, strengthening your technique, and getting more comfortable making choices on camera.
The Weekly helps you keep doing the work between auditions, classes, and jobs — without paying for private coaching every week.
You don't need to practice for hours every day. You just need a regular reason to begin.
Both sides of the camera.
I'm James — an actor, filmmaker, and acting coach with nearly 20 years of professional experience.
I trained at New York City's Neighborhood Playhouse, the original home of the Meisner technique, and I've worked with actors privately, in classes, and through Actor Craft Club.
I've also written, directed, produced, and cast my own work. That means I approach a scene from both sides of the camera: what helps an actor connect truthfully to the material and what makes a performance compelling to watch.
The Weekly is my way of making that guidance available to more actors at a genuinely accessible price.
