The real problem
Most actors don’t struggle because they lack talent.

They struggle because they don’t have a consistent place to train. A class here, a tip there, submissions when they remember — and then they wonder why their confidence keeps resetting.

×The work gets scattered.
×The process gets unclear.
×Acting becomes something you’re trying to figure out — instead of something you’re actively practicing.
Actor Craft Club was built to fix that. Not with more advice — with a rhythm.
A monthly training home
One place for your craft and career.

Inside the membership you get regular live training, direct feedback, practical career support, and a community of actors who are also doing the work. The focus is simple.

01
Practice the craft
02
Get stronger on material
03
Build audition confidence
04
Stay clear on next steps

You don’t need more random acting advice. You need a steady place to return to — week after week.

How the membership works
Every Sunday, we train live.

From 9–11AM PST on Zoom, with a rotating monthly schedule. Four Sundays, four kinds of reps.

Sunday 0101
Meisner Lab + Scene Lab

Presence, listening, emotional availability, connection, and truthful behavior through Meisner-based exercises and scene work. Where you strengthen the foundation of the craft.

Craft Foundation
Sunday 0202
Film / TV Table Read

Read and work through film and television scripts as a group — story, character, tone, pacing, relationships, and strong playable choices. You get faster and sharper with new material.

New Material
Sunday 0303
Meisner Lab + Scene Lab

More reps. More feedback. More practice getting out of your head and into the work. Craft doesn’t improve through theory alone — it improves through repetition.

Repetition
Sunday 0404
Audition Lab

Run mock self-tape auditions, work sides, make adjustments, and practice the prep actors actually need. Walk into the material with more clarity, confidence, and ownership.

Bookable Reps
Beyond the craft
Business of acting office hours.

Once a month, after class, we hold office hours focused on the practical side of your career. Becoming a stronger actor matters — but so does knowing how to move the career forward.

Casting Profiles Headshots & Reels Submissions Representation Audition Strategy Career Direction Next Steps
Plus occasional guest Q&As.

Conversations with casting directors, agents, working actors, and filmmakers — people who understand the business from different sides of the table. Not hype. Not vague inspiration. Real talk about the work and the industry.

What you’ll get inside
Five things, every month.
01 · Live Weekly Training
A place to show up and work

Every Sunday. No waiting months between classes, no keeping yourself motivated alone, no wondering what to practice next.

02 · Direct Feedback
Stop guessing, start improving

Honest, useful feedback on your work so you can see what’s actually landing and where to put your attention.

03 · Craft & Audition Reps
Training tied to real work

Acting fundamentals, scene work, table reads, and self-tape auditions — the kind of work actors actually have to do.

04 · Career Guidance
The business side, handled

Support around materials, profiles, submissions, representation, and strategy through office hours and discussion.

05 · A Serious Creative Community
Actors who take the work seriously

Train alongside other actors who are also trying to stay sharp, grow, and treat acting like a practice — not a hobby they think about.

An honest fit check
Supportive — but not passive.
™ This is for you if
You’re ready to practice
  • You want consistent training without commuting to a studio.
  • You know you need more reps — not more random tips.
  • You want honest feedback from a coach who gets both the craft and the business.
  • You want to feel more confident on scripts, scenes, and auditions.
  • You want a place to keep growing between bigger classes, jobs, and auditions.
You treat acting like something you practice.
™ This is not for you if
You want a shortcut
  • You want a passive course you can buy and ignore.
  • You’re looking for shortcuts instead of practice.
  • You don’t want feedback.
  • You only want career advice but won’t train the craft.
  • You’re not willing to show up consistently.
The point is to work.

Why I built this
Meet your coach.

I’m James Larson — actor, acting coach, filmmaker, and Neighborhood Playhouse-trained Meisner actor with 20+ years on both sides of the table.

I grew up in Oregon. Back then, if you didn’t live in New York or LA, there was no real way to train with people who’d worked in those rooms — and no real way to feel connected to the industry at all.

I built Actor Craft Club to be the thing I didn’t have: a place where an actor anywhere in the world can get quality training and go after the career they actually want.

And it’s for everyone. Big market or small town, plenty of access or none of it — if you want a consistent place to keep training and keep moving toward the work, this is it. The price, the commute, where you happen to live — those are the things that stop most actors before they start. The point is to take them off the table.

Because consistency is what it takes in this industry.

Best For
Consistent Craft, Audition & Career Reps
Every actor starts here
Ready to train consistently?

Actor Craft Club is for actors who are ready to take the work seriously. Every member starts with an Actor Clarity Call — a short conversation to make sure it’s the right fit before you join.

Questions
Before you book.
QIs this for beginners?
Yes — as long as you’re serious and willing to work. You don’t need to be advanced to join, but you do need to be open, consistent, and ready to practice.
QIs this only for working actors?
No. It’s for actors at different stages who want consistent training and clearer direction. Some members are newer, some are returning to the work, and some are already auditioning and want regular reps.
QDo I get to perform each week?
Yes — everyone gets to perform in class. But we learn just as much from watching and listening to other actors’ work as we do from our own.
QAre classes recorded?
Replays are currently only available for industry Q&As, as the work is meant to be experienced live.
QWhat if I can’t make every Sunday?
You’ll get the most value attending live consistently, but you don’t have to be perfect. This is a training rhythm — a steady place to return to.
QIs this different from the 8-Week Bookable Bootcamp?
Yes. The Bootcamp is a focused 8-week program to build a stronger foundation across craft, auditions, materials, and career direction. The membership is ongoing training and support — after the Bootcamp, or for actors who already know they want a consistent place to keep working.
You don’t need another course you forget to finish. You need a place to show up and do the work.
